Sweeter and more delicate than regular onions, they provide a complex, savory depth to spice pastes (bumbu), sauces, and soups. They are also famously fried to a golden crisp to be used as an essential condiment. Our shallots are properly cured to ensure a firm texture, vibrant color, and extended shelf life, ready for export.

Great Flavor, But Sizing is Inconsistent: The taste is amazing, truly authentic. The only challenge is the inconsistent sizing. Some are large and easy to peel, while others are very small and tedious. More uniform grading would be a huge help.
Excellent Flavor, But They Sprouted a Bit Fast: The taste is unmatched. However, we did notice that this last batch began to sprout a bit faster in our storage than previous orders. We had to use them quickly. Still, the quality when fresh is superb.
Flavor is Spot-On, But Difficult to Peel: The flavor is perfect, truly authentic. The peeling, however, can be very time-consuming, especially with the smaller shallots. It adds a fair bit of labor cost. But the taste is worth it.
